We have a temporary contract employee ending her assignment in California. We are a staffing company that placed a physical therapist at a hospital in California. Her contract ends today. Is her final wages due within 72 hours or on our next regular pay schedule?

As far as I am aware, you must make the payment within 72 hours.  So you will need to cut a manual check and not wait until the next normal payroll.
