  • Fire Extinguisher colors

I have looked everywhere for the rules and Regs on colors for Fire Extinguisher backgrounds.  I looked in the NFPA, International Fire Codes and OSHA.  There is no plain english text on this subject.  We are currently going through 5S and Lean manufacturing and repainting all of our bldgs and so forth.  Does anyone have any info that they could put me onto?

    Thanks

    OXBO,

According to the attached article, there does not seem to be any standards in the US regarding background. I would think a reasonable would be to ensure the extinguisher is readily accessible and easily identified (e.g. signs)
