  • Incidental take permit

I am working on a project that may touch on a critical habitat for an endangered species (it's not definite, but it's a possibility). To be safe, should I look into obtaining an incidental take permit? I have never pursued one before, but the project I am working on has already been a permitting nightmare, and anything that could smooth things over would be great.

Does anyone have any experience with incidental take permits? Are they difficult and/or worth it to obtain?

    Thanks in advance!

As a cya you should get an incidental take permit.  They typically, are not difficult to obtain, though the stipulations associated with them may make the project more difficult/time consuming to complete.
