Thanks for your reply, and I agree with you on your company’s training requirements. I am trying to find some OSHA language (Regs) on this subject. Liability and responsibility does not seem to be enough for the “bean-counters” to do what we all know is right.

We always have our subs watch this video prior to letting them on our worksites:

Although not required by OSHA...it is required by us as it is a good video.

I'm lucky, I don't have to deal with bean counters. I have a boss who understands what he doesn't know and that I am his subject matter expert for EHS. Unless it is a big ticket Item I have very little issue. He also knows that I understand that big ticket items most of the time need to be budgetary items and will not normally be addressed quickly. If I fight for the big ticket items to be done quickly he knows it is something extremely important
