Since I can't find anything written in stone, I've always thought it would be up to your discretion based on building size, layout, processes, number of employees, etc. Although my primary focus is in construction, I've seen the ratio vary. On some jobs, they tell us, "You must have a minimum of two. That way you're covered if one is out sick." We usually have three or four per job with usually no more than 70 people per job (we've had as many as over 120... making the ratio 30:1 at times). If we have a multi-story building, we try to keep one provider per floor work is being done on.
