Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know if OSHA/NFPA/ANSI standards require the use of certain color combinations to denote aisle ways or specific hazards? I have to replace some tape in our warehouse and production areas and before I do I wanted to check with some other safety professionals. We currently have black/yellow tape marking aisle ways, red/white for the clear area around electrical panels, and black/white around doorways with out swinging doors. Anyone have any ideas? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Jason,
Your right on track. We use reflective tape to help make it stand out.

Lab Safety Supply has a good summary on page 2395 of its Safety and Industrial Buyers guide. Also, see EZ Facts #202 on their website. The standards they mention are 29 CFR 1910.144, Ansi 13.1 and Z535.1.

Check out this site for Creative Safety. You can request a Floor Marking Guide on this site. It will be e-mailed to you quickly. I got mine in less than 5 minutes.
