  • Location of LOTO Procedures

    Everyone,

I've just had an interesting experience with the ISO/Quality person at my firm. During our last ISO audit, we received an observation that the Safety Department was maintaining two sets LOTO procedures because procedures were available online and at the machine (e.g. its specific LOTO procedure). Mt ISO guy is encouraging me to remove the procedures from the machines. My question to you is:

Where do you store your procedures and how easy is it for your employees to access them?

    Thanks,

    MikeCJ

Are the procedures at the 2 locationns different in wording, scope, steps or any other way.  If what you have posted at the machine just a copy of the master online you do not have 2 seperate LOTO procedures.  you have 1 procedure and 2 copies.

If the 2 procedures are different in scope, steps, wording, etc.  You do have 2 different procedures and need to get rid of one of them.
