  • Global warming ad campaign

So Gore's group has announced a $300 million ad campaign to get the message out about the gloabl warming problem. I don't know how I feel about this - it's a lot of money, and is there any evidence that it will work? They are comparing it with the ad campaign for the war on drugs, but frankly, the parallel doesn't work for me. Drugs are either do them or don't do them, but global warming isn't as cut and dry.

Do you think the money would be better spent on research? or is an ad campaign necessary? It just seems to me that the media is doing a pretty good job already with its coverage of global warming. I guess I'll have to see the ads to evaluate them. Does anyone else think this may be a waste of money?
