My company makes a LOTO for compressed air.  It only has (2) padlock locations.  I want to see them add 2 for a total of (4).  They are resisting because they say a hasp kept on the operators person will work and it is cheaper.  My argument is that hasps are extra work and inconvinience.  What is your experience with them in the field, industry or practice?

Here are links to the existing products and concept idea and I welcome any comments on them as well  -

It really depends upon how many people are going to be working on the line downstream. If it is 1, 2, more than 4 then the current design is fine. If it is 3 or 4 then your design is better. In my experience, I haven't ever seen more than 3 or 4 locks on a device.
