Hi All,
We have designated smoking areas away from our entrances to help keep smoke away from our non-smokers. Now I am having a problem with the smokers just throwing their cigarette butts in the bushes & storm drain outfalls. Does anyone have or know of a good template letter to draft up so I can get the message to all employees about getting thier cigarette butts into the butt cans.

Easy: Place butts in proper containers, if this can not be done then smoking will be banned from the property!
This would include the parking lot and the vehicles in the parking lot.

If you don't have butt kits/cans in the smoking area that is a needed device. If you do have them, then you got slobs that smoke. Tell them that you will close the smoking areas that can't stay clean for a week. Then do it if they don't clean up their mess. you reopen in a week and you won't have any problems.
