I hate equipment like this. I wish our great and wise Occupational Safety and Health Administration would clarify things like this. Yeah... I understand getting them ratified and published is a nice, long legal process, but it would definitely be worth it in the long run. This equipment isn't going anywhere anytime soon. It's good that they want safety in the workplace, but how can it be achieved when half the people don't know what the hell is going on? Thanks to the lack of clarification, debates are STILL flaring up AFTER I tried explaining what would consider it a mobile scaffold.
"It's an aerial lift!"
"No, it's a mobile scaffold."
"But it raises up!"
"A scissor lift is considered a mobile scaffold. This is basically the same thing, just no motors."
"Says who?!"
"OSHA..."
