Is there a NFPA Life Safety Code that cover the number of evacuation (exit) maps or drawings that must be posted in a building or floor?

I did not see anything in the Life Safety Code specifically mentioning evacuation drawings. However, look at 7.10.2 of the 206 edition. It states that you must have a directional sign at every location where the direction of travel to the nearest exit is not apparent. To borrow some OSHA language, you would need a sufficient number of signs to ensure a proper evacuation of the facility.

The OSHA interp states 1-sign per room.

Would you please pass along the interpretation date or number. I'd like to take a look at it.
