Where do you get that information from?

The federal hazardous waste disposal regulations are found in 40 CFR 260 - 299. Several states (Texas, California, Mass. and others) have their own regulations which mirror and expand on federal regulations. A good place to start would be the EPA, www.epa.gov. Under the search A - Z look under 'Hazardous Waste' or 'Small Quantity Generator'. There are some really good guidance documents under 'Hazardous waste management for small business'.
