An employee had an accident in Oct. 2005 needing hernia surgery.  When he went for testing he was diagnosed with cancer.  The cancer treatment was primary to the hernia surgery.  He has recovered from the cancer and had hernia surgery on 7/11/06 which is lost time.  Does the lost time go back to October 2005 OSHA log or 2006 OSHA log?

    Kraftician,

I’m glad the employee has recovered.

Since the accident was reported in Oct of 2005 then it is reported in the 2005 OSHA 300 logs. We had an employee go through a similar situation and I called our local OSHA office and that is the response I got.
