Hi Kenny, Take a look at 29 CFR 1910.165, this OSHA regulation covers employee alarm systems. The link below is an OSHA interpretation on this topic, I find the interpretations very useful as the regulations don't always answer my question. https://www.osha.gov/pls/oshaweb/owadisp.show_document?p_table=INTERPRETATIONS&p_id=2095 I hope this helps! • Maintenance Software Programs

Hello, Can anyone recommend a good maintenance software that doesn't cost thousands of dollars? We are looking to upgrade our current sytem which is DOS based and not very user friendly. I would like a program that would allow me to insert LOTO procedures right into the work order if possible. Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

  • Re: Safety Incentive Programs

Great discussion everyone, I also am struggling to come up with some ideas, and found several good ones here, I may be e-mailing some of you for some additional assistance. I do agree that a program should be designed to increase awareness and participation. Thank you all for some great input.

  • Re: Safety Incentive Programs

I use a system that rewards corrective action ideas after an accident or near miss. If someone makes a suggestion to prevent a recurrence that is implemented we reward that employee. We did away with teams striving for zero accidents for the simple reason that it fosters refusal to report an accident because the accident or near miss report will negatively affect the team.
